Xuan Kong, or Flying Stars, is an advanced level of knowledge which adds the aspect of time to the qi analysis.

The Chinese measure time in cycles, with the beginning of each year based on the solar calendar. We are currently in Period 8. The period in which your home was constructed is part of the basis for a Xuan Kong analysis.

Using both the sitting direction, and the time of constructon, Xuan Kong provides for a site specific qi map of nine different areas in a home or work site.

When the roof goes on a building, the qi is enclosed in the structure. This creates a permanent site specific qi footprint which can be mapped.

Using the qi footprint, each of the 9 area grid superimposed on your floorplan contains a Mountain Star and a Water Star.

The Mountain Star is the qi that influences your health and relationships and is sometimes called the People Star. The Water Star qi influences your prosperity and is referred to as the Money Star.

There are annual qi changes as well. Each year, the qi that is entering your home changes it's distribution as well. This is another time aspect used in Xuan Kong.

The interaction of the Mountain Star, the Water Star, and the Annual Star determines how the Five Element Remedies are placed.

The directions of the inauspicious annual qi, or Annual Afflictions, is an important part of Xuan Kong. Specific remedies may need to be placed outside of the home to transform this qi.

Water placement to benefit prosperity, both inside and outside, depends on various factors of time and direction which can only be ascertained by a Xuan Kong analysis.
